Mountain Dream Land & Log Homes LLC is a Michigan based corporation that offers quality mountain properties mostly in the gated mountain development of Forbes Park Colorado.

From the first time my family and I visited the mountains of Colorado, we were hooked. With the towering snow capped mountains, the rivers and lakes teaming with trout, the picture perfect golf courses, and ski resorts that will take your breath away; it's the perfect place to have land in the mountains for a family vacation getaway cabin, or retirement home.

The area gets about 300 days of sunshine, and whether your interests are hiking through the forested mountain trails, or taking photos of the deer and elk in the meadows in front of your cabin, or spending time with family and friends by the fireplace looking out over the snow capped mountains; this area will provide the backdrop for the perfect getaway.

It is about a half hour or so drive to four excellent golf courses, and about 1 ½ to 2 hrs. drive to four great ski resorts. There is fishing in the trout streams and lakes; and hiking, mountain biking, cross country skiing and wildlife viewing all within the development, and the development also attaches to a great area of the San Isabel National Forest for even more exploring.

The development has a well run association with managers available from 9-5 Monday through Friday. Forbes Park has some covenants to protect your investment such as:

• A minimum of 600 Sq. Ft. for a home or cabin, and it must be built on site.
• No hunting or shooting in the development.
• No motorcycles, A. T. V .s, or motorboats are allowed.
• No large hoofed animals are to be kept. Household dogs and cats are allowed.

These are some of the covenants that are enforced to help keep it more pristine, quiet, harmonious and to help protect the abundant wildlife.

There are about 5,000 acres of protected common lands (meadows, forests, streams, ponds and a lake) for your mountain enjoyment.

There is a smaller community building with restrooms with showers and water for your use. There are many quality log, cedar and conventional type homes and cabins in the development.

The association has association dues that are currently $133 per year and cover road snow plowing and road, community building and common lands maintenance, a trash container, managers salaries, etc.

As one of my customers once said, "Forbes Park is like medicine for the soul" and it is truly a nature lovers paradise and is much more like a nature preserve than a subdivision.

With it being gated, with big views, abundant wildlife and very nice people; this is the perfect place to have land or a cabin in the mountains of Colorado.
